Paul is a Prosci® Certified Advanced Instructor and Change Management Specialist with CMC Partnership Asia. His career has spanned 2 decades, cutting his teeth in various industries such as FMCG, media, public relations, creatives and public service, having held numerous roles in innovation, business development, strategic alliances and relationship management.
When Paul first joined the Yellow Ribbon Project, he was part of the team that ran a nation-wide campaign to change mindsets of Singaporeans to accept and welcome ex-offenders back into society. He also led fundraising efforts to support Social Service Agencies in leading programmes that supported family re-connections.
Subsequently he headed over to Workforce Singapore to support and guide jobseekers with career change, running meaningful workshops and conversations to help them define their future state and aspirations.
In 2016, he joined the Human Capital Leadership Institute (wholly owned by Temasek Holdings), which facilitates the acceleration of leadership development and strategic human capital management capabilities in Asia. At HCLI, Paul held a strategic role in supporting the building of human capital leadership across Asia. His key achievement was in successfully leading the business development efforts for one of Asia’s largest Human Capital conference in 2017.
In the past 5 years, Paul has extensively consulted for more than 50 thriving organisations in change management as well as leadership and organisational development, coaching more than 80 senior leaders in effective change and sponsorship. While at the National Council of Social Services, he also served as an internal Trainer to build Change Management Competency within the organisation of more than 300 employees.
Paul is constantly thinking of empowering Change communities to build support for budding Change Practitioners. Since 2020, he has set up and sustained Singapore’s first and only Community of Practice in Change Management, where they go by the “none of us is as good as all of us” mentality.
Paul enjoys quality time with his wife and an adopted Mongrel, Tequila. When Tequila was first adopted, she was grossly overweight and at risk of joint damage. They then took on the challenge to bring Tequila for frequent walks and to cook healthier meals. After 15 months and 12,000 steps daily, Tequila has lost weight, but Paul hasn’t.
Paul has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, and is passionate about communications surrounding change.
“As a Relationship person, I fully appreciate CMC’s vision to journey with client organisations, and “change for good, together”. This season is a very unique one, and one where we should not have to feel we are managing change, alone.” – Paul Wu
