As many of you will be aware we recently carried out a survey to help us understand what contractors are looking for when choosing an organisation to work through. We received a high level of response and were very appreciative of the time taken by people to provide us with their views. The survey illustrated that being treated as an individual is the most important factor with the positive reputation of the organisation and being made to feel welcome scoring highly. This validates what CMC has always believed, that placing our emphasis on understanding both our customer and contractor needs and ensuring that we make the right connections is critical.
We were delighted that many positive aspects about CMC were noted in the survey responses and that ideas were offered about how we can improve our ways of working. Most people wanted to get more involved with our company by receiving regular information about customers and opportunities. Some people wanted to take involvement further and participate in face-to-face briefings and account development.
We work hard to communicate with you whether you are currently on an assignment with us or not, and we are therefore pleased that this is something you value. We will continue to review our communications options, such as this newsletter, our website, our sourcing team and our account managers.
Another interesting result was understanding what methods you use to search for your next role. Word of mouth (46%) and recommendation (40%) came out top, with only 23% of you using job boards and very few of you making use of social networking sites for this purpose. We’ve been wondering whether you would find LinkedIn a useful way of networking with us.
Unsurprisingly an overwhelming majority of respondents cited evidence of future opportunities as the key reason for staying with us. We understand and share the desire to offer a rich range of roles in a variety of locations to enable or staff and contractor base find assignments that are right for them. The variety of skills demanded by our customers is broadening as our relationship with them deepens. Our emphasis is on delivering value for money for customers by matching CMC people to the role that is right for them in an environment where they can succeed. We are proud of our customer base, of the key frameworks that we have in place and our record of growth. Thanks for working with us to achieve this.
