Education At The Heart Of Government

CMC will continue to provide education consultancy at the heart of the Government thanks to the newly formed Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills including CMC in its framework to supply operational reviews.

This success builds upon our wide education experience, especially in the areas of organisation structure, governance and business planning.

Most recently, we worked with the Department of Children, Schools and Families to promote the successful establishment of a Council for Subject Associations. Liaising with sixty subject associations for teachers, trainers and advisers across the full range of academic and vocational subjects, we established a consensus as to the shape and remit of a single council to represent all associations and, having achieved this, we are now working with the associations to set up the council in reality.

Previous assignments in Education have included working with Internal Audit to improve the quality of project management of IS projects, reviewing and implementing revised IS steering arrangements, working for Science Research Councils, the International Baccalaureate Organisation, the National Assessment Agency and Estyn.
