The xchangewales programme provides implementation support to Welsh public sector organisations wishing to increase procurement efficiency and effectiveness through deployment of e-procurement tools. Although investment in the programme is provided by the Welsh Government, efficiency savings are retained by the public sector bodies themselves for re-investment in frontline services. 

CMC has been engaged by the Welsh Government to help deliver the innovative and challenging xchangewales programme. Our programme, project, communication, technical and procurement specialists work alongside colleagues from the Welsh Government and third-party software providers for the lifetime of the programme, focusing on the goal of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of Welsh Public Sector procurement.

We have helped Chief Executives, Finance Directors, Heads of Procurement and their staff understand the benefits of participating in the programme and continue to work with them to develop their business cases and plans. This has resulted in widespread engagement in the xchangewales Programme, enabling organisations to improve procurement and payment efficiency, and increase productivity.
